This coastal farm is set to smash records, with multiple buyers expressing interest in the property. So how much money are they offering?

A small farm on the edge of Lennox Head was set to smash sale records for the area, with multiple buyers expressing interest in the property priced between $14-$15 million.

‘Condons Hill’, an 8.9ha property at 8 Byron Bay Rd, Lennox Head, was open to expressions of interest until June 24, and Elders Lennox Head licensee Nick Bordin said there had been numerous offers. The property overlooks the town, has stunning ocean views stretching from Lennox Point to Broken Head, and was a 550m walk to the beach.

Mr Bordin said those expressing an interest in the property were a mixture of local and interstate buyers and a lot of them wanted to keep it as a rural holding close to the beach.

That was good news for locals who had expressed concern the iconic hill would be developed.
Only a small portion of the site, approximately 6100 sqm on the back side of the hill, was zoned as low density residential however, and Mr Bordin said the land had been rezoned to “keep the hill the way it is now”.

The property hit the market for the first time in 57 years last May, and features a two-storey five-bedroom home.
Mr Bordin said he hoped to have a favourable outcome for owners within the next few days, and said whatever the outcome, it would set a benchmark for the Lennox Head/ Ballina area

“It is the best property in the area, so we expect whoever buys it will be very lucky. I doubt we will see it on sale in the next 50 years.”
